Salary Range: Band 5 - $91,900 to $104,172 + 14% superannuation. (Remuneration stated is for a full-time position)

Our Business  

Transport for Brisbane (TfB) division operates and maintains one of the largest public transport fleets in Australia to deliver public transport services for the people living, working, and visiting the City of Brisbane. Through contracts with the State Government and private organisations we provide clean, convenient, and effective transport options on bus, CityCat, ferry, e-bike, e-scooter, and soon - Metro.  

Our Branch  

Strategy and Network Services branch support the division through the coordination and delivery of divisional specific Learning and Development programs; support in Health, Safety and Environment compliance and initiatives; and implement business and process improvement measures.  

The Role 

The Learning and Development Officer role is responsible for the design, delivery and coordination of a wide range of learning and development programs and processes through a mixture of eLearning, blended, and classroom learning. Your expertise in curriculum and instructional design as well as hands on facilitation and training delivery experience will set you up for success. You’ll get the chance to collaborate and engage a diverse range of interesting stakeholders across a large business to meet evolving skill and capability needs by delivering high quality adult learning experiences.

To be successful you will have: 

  • demonstrated experience in designing and delivering quality technical learning and development solutions which provide inclusive learning and use a variety of delivery modes (including eLearning)
  • demonstrated experience in using a Learning Management System
  • knowledge or experience with improving safety, workplace culture training, particularly in HSE risk management (experience within a transport context will be highly regarded)
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • high level of attention to detail
  • highly organised and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
