Salary Range: Band 5, $91,900 - $104,172 plus superannuation

(Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions)

Work type: Temporary Full-time

Duration: Up to 12 months (Extension/s thereafter but not guaranteed).

Brisbane Infrastructure brings together Council's asset management, infrastructure planning, design, project management, construction, services, maintenance, and transport operations activities. City Projects Office delivers projects and programs through effective project ownership, management, and planning and design. Working in partnership with areas across Council and industry, our enthusiastic team provide world-class infrastructure that enhances Brisbane’s lifestyle for its residents. The Project Management branch in City Projects Office provides leadership and accountability in delivery. 

The Role

This is an exciting role suiting an enthusiastic and initiative-taking professional who will support the General Manager with the branch’s day-to-day operations, including diary and email management, review, and coordination of approvals/submissions on various high-level documentation and minute taking. This long-term opportunity suits an experienced and proactive customer service specialist, a collaborator who is eager to review and continually improve processes whilst working together to achieve strict timeframes in a seamless manner. As an effective communicator, you will build strong relationships both within CPO and throughout Council ensuring a smooth, accurate and timely process for key initiatives and projects. 

 To be successful you will have:  

  • demonstrated ability to provide high level confidential administrative and business management support to senior management, with experience in handling complex and sensitive issues with priority
  • advanced written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to prepare and produce business reports, correspondence, meeting agenda and minutes
  • high level office management and organisational skills including the ability to manage and coordinate the activities of branch leaders, through effective task and time management 
  • ability to establish and maintain effective office management systems and processes including document/file management systems 
  •  ability to review and amend procurement submissions, provide advice, and work collaboratively with the Strategic Procurement Office and Executive General Managers office.
