The Role
Reporting into the Unit Manager, Contaminated Land Services, as a Senior Landfill Engineer, you will be responsible for providing strategic engineering direction and program deliverables associated with the Closed Landfill Management Program and incidental projects on contaminated land or landfill sites.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- preparing detailed project proposals, program management and coordination
- resourcing project deliveries
- attending program meetings and presenting progress updates
- communicating and influencing stakeholders, provide technical and specialist engineering advice and remediation design package deliverables
- work with Contaminated Land Services team members to achieve practical engineering solutions
- commission and manage consultants to support the delivery of engineering project deliveries.
To be successful you will have:
- tertiary qualification in Engineering
- demonstrated experience in design and project management involving engineering disciplines with transferable skills to remediation outputs
- Proficiency in civil design, preparation of specifications and environmental engineering aspects associated with civil construction works
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proactive attitude.
