About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analytics team. This role is based at our Strathpine office in Brisbane.

Reporting to one of our Commercial Managers, the Senior Commercial Analyst will analyse and report on Key Financial Measures, Key Performance Indicators and financial reporting for a high-profile project and support the Project leadership team in driving ‘insights-to-value’. In this role, you will provide full Finance Business Partnership support to the project and be the “face of finance”.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Delivering high quality business partnering support to key stakeholders as required, with respect to in-depth business, financial and commercial analysis.
  • Supporting the development of financially sound business cases covering both capital investment as well as initial and ongoing OpEx requirements.
  • Analysing commercial and driver data to enhance reporting and providing insights into the financial performance of the business.
  • Supporting the business to lead or drive strategic and operational change.

About you

To deliver successful outcomes in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in a Financial or Commercial role with exposure to financial analysis, modelling and reporting.
  • Customer-centric approach, with strong commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in working with large data sets.
  • Advanced skills in Excel alongside strong skills in PowerPoint, SAP and BW.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly would be greatly regarded.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Finance/Accounting/Business and preferably a post graduate qualification.
  • CPA/CA or equivalent desired.
