About the Role

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! This is a brand-new position that offers you the opportunity to help make our new national DC a gold standard site! 

As a DC Operations Trainer at our newly built Truganina Distribution Centre (DC), you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the capabilities of our team members, including SRG and Labour Hire staff. Your mission will be to train, coach and mentor Team Managers, ensuring that our standards and capabilities are consistently elevated. 

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

  • Innovative Training: Deliver engaging orientation and induction programs. 
  • Capability Building: Support DC labour capability through comprehensive training and assessments. 
  • Coaching: Uplift individual and collective performance against business performance requirements. 
  • Skill Development: Proactively manage skill gaps and training needs in collaboration with the DC Leadership and the Learning Manager.

About you 

We are looking for an energetic and vibrant individual who can bring enthusiasm and a positive attitude to inspire and motivate the team. You will have the ability to confidently guide and realign team members to ensure adherence to standards. In addition, you will have the following: 

  • Experience working within a DC/ Warehouse in a high volume, multi-brand, Retail or 3PL distribution/ logistics environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. 
  • Proven ability to effectively train and develop internal and labour hire staff, ensuring they meet performance standards and excel in their roles. 
  • Understanding of CoR – (Chain of Responsibility) – Current Legislation. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of hazard identification/ incident management and investigation. 
  • Holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. 
  • Exposure to a Manufacturing Excellence, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma (Statistical Process Control) environment will be highly regarded. 

Your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills will be key to this role.
