About the Role:

We are seeking a Data Implementation Specialist to play a pivotal role in our ERP Project for newly acquired US Utility companies. This position requires subject matter expertise in Alteryx and Power BI, supporting the Data Team in extracting large data sets using SQL from SAP and Powerplan. Additionally, you will assist the Internal Controls team in documenting control points in business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a data conversion specialist, providing support and input to ERP Finance Data Teams, Business SMEs, and the System Integrator for profiling, extraction, cleansing, conversion, and validation of data being converted to Oracle Cloud.
  • Participate in conversion function designs with business and ERP functional teams to ensure accurate capture of process, data mapping, data rules, and data validation.
  • Utilize expertise in SQL to extract large data sets to assist with Power BI and Alteryx models, as well as data review.
  • Communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience as needed.
  • Identify data readiness issues and challenges, provide recommendations for remediation, plan and execute resolutions, and escalate as required.
  • Support the execution of data conversion processes across the entire data lifecycle to meet program timelines and key dates, including cutovers.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and execution to maximize efficiencies, making recommendations.
  • Provide direct support to the Data and IT conversion teams under the ERP Finance Data Team.

Scope / Dimensions:

  • Provide direct support to the data quality and conversion teams under the ERP Finance, SCM, or AWM workstream.
  • Interface with the ERP Data leadership team to escalate issues and ensure project alignment with Unify objectives.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the workstream teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

  • Related university degree in Business or Technology.
  • Experience with SAP, Powerplan, or Oracle Cloud.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Alteryx.
  • Experience with SQL in writing queries to extract data and support Power BI and Alteryx models.
  • Familiarity with data standards and data quality reporting.
  • Ability to identify risks and issues, recommend actions, and escalate when necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influence skills applied with technical and functional personnel.
  • Willingness to delve into details to help progress work and report status.
  • Understanding of enterprise-wide and Business Unit specific requirements.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Preferred:

  • Industry experience in energy storage and distribution.
  • Experience with large-scale, complex project go-lives (i.e., cutovers).
  • Experience with data transformation on large enterprise programs.
  • Experience with Internal Controls and mapping to business processes.
  • Experience with data sustainment and enterprise data governance.
