About The Role
Due to an aggressive growth strategy for 2025 and to compliment the successful recruitment campaign for the development team in 2024, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Drafter to join our team. As the Drafter you will be working within the Planning and Design Team, who are focused on delivering a service to the Development Team, facilitating feasibility assessment, scoping documents, planning applications and RFQ documents for Design and Construct suppliers and contractors. You will work within a collaborative team, implementing design standards to add value to our parks, and apply a solution-based attitude to identify and resolve issues.
You will assist in preparing and maintaining the value of site information in the form of surveys, drawings, databases, schedules and checklists to improve record keeping, benchmarking and for use across our assets and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of 3D Revit models as required, but utilizing where possible, established families.
- Collaborate with the team to develop drafting standards to add value and provide consistent graphic quality and embedded information.
- Utilize drafting and design standards, cross checking compliance with regulatory and internal requirements as they are applied to each unique environment.
- Compile and prepare record set drawings and documentation of our parks,
- Integrate survey files and digital information as available to form the Revit base for concept layouts.
- Prepare conceptual layout drawings to support internal understanding of a project’s brief, opportunity and risk,
- Assist with the preparation of baseline facility schedules through on-site audits, travelling as required,
- Assist with the review and maintenance of safety-in-design schedules,
- Assist with the appointment and coordination of consultants to meet project needs,
- Document Management with the compilation of drawings, schedules and specifications at various milestones through design and delivery, including associated checklists,
- Listen, engage, communicate with team members in an open, authentic and respectful manner.
- Ensure you communicate regularly with your manager, on workload, progress of deliverables, any issues and potential opportunities,
- Maintain connection with your industry, ensuring you bring new technologies and insight to your work.
About You
You will have relevant tertiary qualifications combined with experience in drafting (specifically Revit and associated Autodesk products), with a focus on the improvements of record keeping and benchmarking across our assets. You will have a proven track record of working on multiple projects, including the preparation and maintenance of relevant documentation.
You will have strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Whilst technical proficiency is important to the role, you will also have the attitude, soft skills and capability to engage with a broad range of business stakeholders. You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at G’day Group.
