Part of a team of Talent Acquisition (TA) professionals that deliver advice and support to University hiring managers for the recruitment of academic, professional and teacher roles, we are evolving our support model to enable us to deliver support and advice with impact.

Our TA team sit within a portfolio that also includes Organisational Development, Capability & Development, and People Strategy & Projects, working collaboratively across a range of activities.

 

What will make you successful in this role?

We’re looking for someone that:

  • can build relationships with, and influence, a diverse range of stakeholders;
  • values being part of a team, but is equally effective when operating independently;
  • is curious, with a mindset of wanting to proactively learn;
  • displays the judgement to know where to strike the balance between process and outcome, understanding that process has value;
  • has deep experience of client and candidate behaviour, and can bring this to bear when influencing, communicating, attracting and negotiating; and
  • is tech-savvy and wants to maximise the benefits of our existing tools and platforms, as well as keeping abreast of the ever-changing landscape of tools that could increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Extensive 360 degree recruitment experience is a given, as are highly developed organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

And experience from the education sector is not a dealbreaker - we have successfully supported the transition of recruiters into our team whose experience has been acquired in other large, complex environments.

  • work with your hiring community to raise capability; and
  • work on projects that support the evolution of the TA team and our support model.


Remuneration and Benefits

This is a continuing (permanent) appointment.

The remuneration package range for this position is from $116,596 to $131,171per annum. This includes an employer superannuation contribution of up to 17%.

Eligible staff are also entitled to receive annual leave loading.

Remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience.

We offer a range of benefits and employment conditions that help you balance your commitments, stay healthy and work effectively. Our range of leave options includes University Holidays, in addition to Annual Leave and Public Holidays.

Your primary place of work will be our Callaghan campus.

Our assessment process for this recruitment involves:

  • an initial screening interview (via phone or Zoom);
  • a formal selection committee interview (encompassing behavioural, scenario and motivation questions), to be held on campus;
  • case study exercise; and
  • references.
