A Billing Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely invoicing and payment processing for our clients. You will work closely with our account teams, finance department, and clients to ensure smooth financial transactions.

We are open to Full / Part time options for this role.

THE TASK AT HAND 

The Billing Officer is responsible for: 

  • Prepare and post monthly billings against Client Quotes 
  • Prepare billings summaries for clients 
  • Assisting with Debt Collection 
  • Support Project Reconciliations, Estimates, Purchase Orders  
  • Key point of contact for Account Service for all financial matters. 
  • Maintain supporting records for the Accounts Receivable ledger 
  • New Client Set up and all related areas to ensure smooth operation from opening a project to invoicing the client and project reconciliation. 
  • Reconcile the Accounts Receivable & WIP sub-ledger to the general ledger 
  • Maintain the billings email inbox 
  • Working with Staff to ensure Revenue targets are met each month 
  • Non-Billable Project set up 
  • Maintaining and Reporting on Aged Debtors 
  • Responsible for Working Capital reporting including monthly calls 
  • Staff training on timesheets, Project Review, Project opening/closing 
  • Preparation of journals for accruals and deferrals and Month End Revenue Reporting 
  • Management of client rate cards in the finance system 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO TBWA 

Skills 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a billing or finance role, preferably in the advertising industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Being proactive and responsive to general enquiries in a timely and efficient manner, even when outside of your current role 
  • Acts as a team partner with the finance team and agency, assisting and helping with queries and ad hoc duties in a timely manner
