TBWA Melbourne is seeking a talented and innovative Strategy Director to lead our Innovation & Experience practice. This is a pivotal role that will shape the future of our agency and our clients' brands. We're looking for a strategic thinker who can translate complex tech and cultural trends and digital behaviours into actionable insights and groundbreaking creative solutions.
THE TASK AT HAND
Key Responsibilities
· Digital Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of the digital and AI landscape, including emerging technologies, social media, and digital platforms.
· Connections Planning Expertise: Develop comms plans, ecosystems, briefs and message matrices for creative teams grounded in an understanding of media channels and behaviours
· Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of innovative brand, campaign and comms strategies that drive business growth and cultural impact. Implement and measure your strategies against a measurement framework and client objectives
· Creative Partnership: build strong relationships with creative teams, be their trusted advisor and partner
· Cultural Insights: Stay ahead of cultural trends and consumer behaviours, identifying opportunities to create culturally relevant and impactful campaigns, especially in the social sphere
· Client Partnerships: Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner.
· Team Leadership: Mentor and inspire a team of talented strategists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
· Thought Leadership: Contribute to industry discussions and publications, positioning TBWA as a leader in innovation and experience.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO TBWA
· Digital Proficiency: Deep understanding of AI and digital marketing channels, including social media, content marketing, and digital advertising.
· Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop interesting, unexpected yet actionable strategies.

You:
- Highly brand literate with 7+ years’ experience in strategy role, within Digital Agency
- You are culturally curious with an informed worldview and passion for uncovering what influences consumer’s behaviours and values
- You are immersed in tech culture and innovations
- You can design, implement and measure your strategies against a measurement framework and client objectives
- Strong communication skills when presenting findings to colleagues, management, other departments, and clients
- Experience managing multiple clients on projects while collaborating with multiple partners
- A high standard of presenting and exceptional attention to detail with strong grammar and writing skills
- You will have the ability to distil information into compelling and insightful visual and verbal briefs, pushing the output of our agency forward.
