Green by Nature (formerly Recreational Services) is proud to be a trusted service provider, responsible for maintaining Whangarei's beautiful parks, sports fields, green spaces, and public facilities. With the recent addition of a new client, we're excited to expand our team and are looking for a dedicated Mower Operator to join us on a fixed-term basis for 6 months, starting asap!
What You'll Do
In this hands-on role, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Operating a variety of ride-on mowers to keep our client's site looking pristine
- Performing weed eating, edging, and push mowing to maintain the finer details of the grounds
- Conducting basic routine maintenance on equipment to ensure everything runs smoothly
- Ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of presentation, exceeding client expectations
Who We’re Looking For
Ideally, we’d love someone with experience using a range of small plant equipment and/or ride-on mowers, but that’s not a deal-breaker. If you have a strong work ethic and a passion for working outdoors, you'd be a great fit. You should also have:
- A full, current driver’s license with manual capability (Class 2 is a plus)
- A love for working outdoors and pride in a job well done
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of sports field maintenance
- Basic computer skills for operating equipment and reporting
- A strong commitment to following and upholding our health and safety standards
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
