We are now on the lookout for a new Gardener to join our mighty Manawatū team!

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Manager and working closely with your teammates, you’ll play a key role in maintaining gardens and green spaces around Feilding. Your responsibilities will include planting, weeding, pruning, and vegetation control, as well as caring for bedding displays, rose gardens, borders, and shrubbery. You’ll work to a well-organised schedule, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard while prioritising public safety, your team’s wellbeing, and your own health and safety.

What We’re Looking For

While hands-on gardening experience or a qualification in horticulture is a bonus, it’s not essential. What matters most is your strong work ethic, passion for horticulture, and a willingness to get stuck in. The ideal candidate will have:

• A full, current driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
• A sense of responsibility and ownership over your work, while being a reliable team player
• A solid understanding of health and safety practices relevant to the job
• Great communication skills and the confidence to engage with the public if needed
• A motivated, can-do attitude and the drive to see tasks through to completion
