The Opportunity: 

  • Involved in all stages of the asset/project life cycle including site history reviews, site contamination assessments, remediation and reporting, baseline reporting, field sampling and monitoring programs, decommissioning and closure plans.
  • Collaborate with principal team members to identify and manage project risks.
  • Work autonomously to adapt and solve potential problems as needed to optimise delivery.
  • Tailor project to meet clients specific requirements.
  • Exposure to different sectors including linear infrastructure, energy, renewable energy, industrial and manufacturing, utilities and resources.

What you bring: 

  • Tertiary qualified in environmental planning, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline. 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in contaminated land services, preferably in consulting, industry, or construction.
  • Good experience with field work and sampling a range of media.
  • Experience in sourcing, collating and interpreting environmental and contaminated land information.
  • Experience with, or demonstrated capacity to prepare:
  • site history reviews
  • site contamination assessments
  • remediation programs and reports
  • field sampling and monitoring programs
  • decommissioning and closure plans
  • other related statutory technical documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal skills (presentation of concise, strong arguments that can be understood by both Regulators and the public).
  • Knowledge of environmental and contamination related regulations, policies, codes and standards including State-specific
  • Having confidence to identify and find solutions to potential issues or challenges.
  • Ability to organise and undertake field work in Tasmania.
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Experience with GIS would be beneficial
