Perth Airport is Australia’s Western Hub connecting the people, businesses and communities of Western Australia with the rest of Australia and the world. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year, Perth Airport plays a significant role in providing economic, social and cultural benefits to West Australians.

Perth Airport is investing more than $5 billion in new infrastructure so we can support our airline partners to grow, offering more services to new destinations and an improved customer experience. This will be the largest funded private equity build in Western Australia for the last 30 years.

Over the coming decade we will expand T1 International, and build new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey carparks and our first airport hotel. This will deliver one airport for the people of Western Australia which will host all flight services in a central location giving passengers a seamless, world-class travel experience.

The Perth Airport estate is spread over 2100 hectares and has developed a $1.5 billion portfolio of existing industrial premises and significant vacant land holdings. Our property team has recently launched Skyfields by Perth Airport, an exciting repositioning of our property brand designed to accelerate the delivery of our ambitious property masterplan and precinct plans. This strategic initiative represents our commitment to unlocking the full potential of our extensive landholding and creating premium development opportunities across the development.

We service a truly diverse community and play an important role in strengthening cultural, family and social bonds while supporting business, tourism and leisure travel.

Our team are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Development Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering the Skyfields vision, driving forward our ambitious development pipeline and helping shape the future of one of Western Australia's most significant property portfolios.

What you'll do:

As Development Manager, you will take the lead on strategic land subdivision precincts within the Skyfields portfolio, encompassing precincts earmarked for significant industrial, large format retail, and commercial development opportunities. Working closely with the General Manager Property Development, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the approval process to unlock land, including managing Major Development Plan applications, submissions, and stakeholder engagement, including oversight of environmental offset obligations in collaboration with the broader team.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive feasibility studies and development strategies for staged subdivisions
  • Creating and maintaining detailed financial models to support development decisions
  • Managing project planning and delivery timelines
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure projects are delivered on budget and programme
  • Providing strategic input into the growth of the property portfolio

This is a hands-on role that requires exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our portfolio and creating value through strategic land development. The role will also present the opportunity to take on built form development projects, managing the full development lifecycle from concept to completion.

About you:

You will have in excess of 5 years experience in a property development role with a relevant tertiary qualification. A skilful negotiator with excellent communication skills you will maintain constructive working relationships with all stakeholders. Results driven whilst maintaining a high attention to detail you will have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
