The opportunity:
The primary responsibility of the Azure Administrator is to build and maintain secure, scalable and high performing Microsoft Azure infrastructure in-line with business requirements.
Core responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain Azure infrastructure including compute, storage, networking and component apps
- Implement security best practices and compliance policies in Azure, focusing on identity and access management, network security, and data encryption.
- Build and maintain cloud networking, landing zones and peering
- Performance tuning and capacity planning
- Fault management and incident response
- Contribution to design and execution of Azure DRBC plan including data backup and general data protection
- Contribution to cloud migration strategy including current state assessment and cloud adoption plan
- Develop and document support strategies, troubleshooting guidelines, and escalation procedures
- Knowledge sharing and mentoring within infrastructure team
- Support and guide the Data Platform, Dynamics, M365 and Power Platform teams
- Strong understanding of Azure subscription management for delivering cost effective solutions
The position has a strong focus on security and is required to provide advice and make decisions on technical and user-related matters and problems, configuration issues and system related applications.
What are we looking for from you?
- Degree in Information Technology or at least five years’ experience administering cloud-based technologies. Microsoft Azure certifications or willingness to attain.
- Good problem-solving techniques with the ability to clearly communicate
- Prior MSP experience – Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, SQL Server, HyperV/VMWare, Cisco/ Aruba Networking, Sophos Firewall/ Central Cloud
- The ability to articulate options and trade-offs for critical decision making
- Delivery of change on applications and/or platforms
- A friendly, positive and customer-driven attitude
