About the role
Based in our Leederville office, we have a fixed term position until February 2026 for a Community Engagement Advisor.
Join a dynamic team of communications professionals dedicated to delivering effective stakeholder and community engagement strategies across a large range of water, wastewater and drainage infrastructure projects throughout the state.

What you can expect with this role
- Developing, implementing and maintaining effective communication and community engagement strategies to support the planning and delivery of infrastructure projects and programs.
- Collaborating with local communities and stakeholders that may be impacted by our infrastructure projects to deliver community engagement initiatives.
- Produce content for print and digital channels to aid project outcomes.
- Managing customer and stakeholder issues and complaints.
- Coordinating announcements and Ministerial correspondence with our internal Media Team and Ministerial Liaison Unit.
Key skills and experience:
- Degree level qualification in communications, public relations or related discipline is preferred or substantial equivalent experience.
- Experience in community engagement, stakeholder and issues management, ideally for a large multi-disciplined organisation.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills and an ability to summarise complex issues for common use.
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills; able to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
- A strong alignment and commitment to our values and behaviours that contribute to a constructive, high performance culture.
- Experience in Ministerial engagement and/or working with government processes is desirable.
- Prior IAP2 training desired but not essential.
