  • 12-18 Month fixed term opportunities
  • Ability to flex up to 5 days office attendance where required

TPG Telecom are embarking on the sale of our Enterprise fixed infrastructure, assets and technology business to Vocus. Over the coming months we will undertake detailed separation and transition planning to ensure our teams and customers are supported through this process.

To facilitate this transition, TPG Telecom will require a number of Business Analysts with expertise in different technology areas to accurately identifying and articulating the true business needs. This encompasses all necessary requirements to deliver and maintain the solution, including performance metrics, tools, and reporting.

Are you an ERP Business Analyst? This is what we are looking for:

  • Prior experience as a Business/System Analyst with an ERP system (e.g. Oracle)
  • Knowledge of functionality & modules within ERP systems (e.g. finance, HR, supply chain)
  • Ability to define requirements to support development and implementation of ERP system

Are you a BA with a Business Intelligence background? This is what we are looking for:

  • Technical Knowledge (e.g. proficiency in SQL)
  • Knowledge of IT Systems & Databases (e.g Pyxis, Sybase)
  • Proficiency in BI tools e.g.Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview

You'll make impact by: 

  • Create and document Scoping Documents and Requirements (BRS/User Stories).
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements (business, performance, operational, system, reporting, security, scalability, usability).
  • Document As-Is and To-Be processes in BPMN2.0.
  • Participate in project ceremonies (estimation sessions, planning meetings, daily stand-ups, showcases, retrospectives).
  • Document Acceptance Criteria to validate requirements/user stories.
  • Review QA/Test Strategy, Plan, and Test Cases; verify Test Results against Acceptance Criteria.
  • Ensure peer review of deliverables to improve quality.
  • Provide feedback in retrospectives to enhance effectiveness.
  • Forecast and communicate business benefits of feature developments, report on actual impact post-release.
  • Identify and understand true business needs for effective solutions.
  • Manage scope of requirements documentation and comply with change management procedures.
  • Create traceability matrix to manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Promote and reuse common business processes and practices.
  • Develop and refine business analysis processes and procedures.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Review design and testing documents to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Support testing to confirm requirements meet business needs.

In general, this is what you’ll bring:

  • Experience working in the Telco industry is desirable
  • Understanding of Both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • An understanding of user needs and a focus on the business outcome
  • A logical approach to problem solving and an investigative and inquisitive mind
  • Highly developed time management skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Understanding of business applications, interfaces and integrated operational environments
  • End to end experience of software development lifecycle
  • Experience with the documentation of processes using BPMN2.0
  • Extensive experience in software development and business analysis
  • Excellent facilitation skills, to lead requirements elicitation workshops and present project information to project stakeholders
