The Byford is part of the expanding family owned & operated Tillbrook Melaleuka Group (TMG), which includes C.Y. O’Connor Village Pub, Tilly’s Garden, Hybla Tavern, The Amberton, The Wellard and Paperbark Burger Co.

Acquired by TMG in August 2019, The Byford (formerly known as Byford Tavern) has seen many changes to service style and delivery as well as interior modifications and improvements with more to follow in the coming years.

The Byford is home to Melaleuka Farm Merchants where we prepare all of our own paddock to plate meat for the group on premise. A truly unique operation which will turn into a destination for our home grown produce.

The core of our family enterprise is our family farm located in North Dandalup, Melaleuka Farm. Supplying our hospitality venues, Melaleuka Farm's unique breeding program delivers ID traceable, high quality, healthy beef that is unique in its low melting point of fat - True WA Paddock to Plate.

Requirements & about you:

Be a point of contact for team members on shift 

Participate in team meetings & training sessions

Contribute to a high integrity positive work culture

Contribute to a positive, happy and safe work environment

Communicate with customers & team members in a professional & courteous manner

Support the Managerial team and other Shift Supervisors wherever possible

Assist with team member inductions - train & supervise food and beverage attendants of a lower grade

Supervise and monitor food and beverage staff on shift

On shift, oversee the personal presentation of team members (including adherence to the dress code, personal hygiene, safe footwear) 

Provide feedback on teams performance on shift

Communicate with the managerial team in regards to any venue/maintenance issues

Supervise team requirement and wage % on shift

Keep an open communication with team members at a venue level and TMG level where required

Supply, dispense and mix liquor, including selling liquor from the bottle department

Mix a range of sophisticated drinks

Assist in the cellar or bottle department

Under the supervision of management, assist with ordering, receiving stock procedures, invoices management, transfers of stock and wastage control
