Our Data and Business Analyst team (component of IT division) is organized to provide data services to the business.

About the Opportunity 

Reporting to the Director of Data & Development, you'll be tasked with supporting and providing key data subject matter expertise to projects and BAU's systems’ needs. Your focus will include:

  • Leading the development and maintenance of BI/data visualisation tools;
  • Engaging with stakeholders, requirements gathering, leading data projects and training;
  • Data collection and storage;
  • Ensuring a high availability of BI/data visualisation and management platforms; and,
  • Working closely with members of the Data Services team and the broader IT team and stakeholders across the Y in order to identify, recommend, develop, model, analyse, implement and support data and analytics solutions.

This is a 12 maximum term role with future opportunities to be explored at the end of the assignment. We offer great flexibility with work from home with at least one day from our Box Hill offices. The remuneration for this role is up to $104,000 plus super, dependent on experience. 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have a desire to be part of a team and be a key collaborator with our IT division and business stakeholders. Ideally you will also be adept at:

  • Requirements gathering – managing multiple stakeholders and eliciting requirements through meetings and workshops;
  • Data engineering – developing ETL/ELT/data pipelines in Microsoft’s Azure and SSIS platforms;
  • Hands-on coding – creating datasets on Microsoft’s Azure/SQL Server – tables/views/stored procedures;
  • Developing dashboards – authoring and maintaining reports and dashboards using Microsoft’s Power BI platform and DAX language;
  • Documenting – providing user documentation and agile/Jira tickets to track work progress; and
  • Working within an Agile environment.
