Regional Manager

This position oversees high-level functions and manages overall operations of the business region, including developing strategic plans and managing budgets. You will coordinate the business region and ensure the realisation of the business network plans into a well-organised positive and productive working culture. This is a highly strategic role that requires an individual who can step into all areas of the business and lead by example.

Some of what you will be doing:

• Sales is a key focus, to grow the profit position of the business through driving sales and effective operational expense management
• Promote and advocate the highest level of customer service across all areas of the business, driving customer outcomes with a focus on customer experience
• Review and refine business operational and coordination processes with regard to the Kent service offering to improve customer experience
• Support, guide, mentor and lead your team by example across multiple sites , focusing on development and collaboration to achieve success
• Kent’s safety standards are a key focus, and as your most important asset are your people, you will advocate safety as a priority

About you:

The success of this team will be determined by the expertise and leadership of an experienced Senior Manager who has managed a similar business unit and has demonstrable success.

As a high calibre Manager with an inquisitive eye for detail you will drive growth and transformation through leadership of your management team. You lead by example by galvanising your team, and you will be a true leader to the wider Kent business network.

We don’t want to maintain our position, we want someone to come in and continue to grow it. So, looking outside the box, being innovative, and finding efficiencies are the traits we are looking for. 

What else we are looking for:

• Your strong commercial acumen means you know the ins and outs of how to run a successful business
• You deliver financial results of growth and profitability, with a track record in running profit centres
• Analytically developed – Beyond interpreting reports and P&Ls your strengths are identifying trends, patterns, insights and opportunities
• You will have minimum 5 years experience at a Senior Management level managing multiple sites, preferably within the Removals industry
• You are process driven with experience managing businesses across multiple sites
• Your strategic and tactical mindset is demonstrable through your experience managing large teams in a high pressure environment
• You know and understand people and you invest in their development and training
• Your leadership strengths focus on the execution of inclusivity, mentorship, conflict resolution, and embracing a positive workplace culture
• A proven track record for driving growth through sales while also focusing on operational efficiency and cost control
• Your Safety focus is well established and underpins your priorities and everything you do
• You have a focus and track record on alignment with business culture and promoting positive change
