About the Role

The Activities Manager is responsible for the resort’s tours and activity’s function, including guests transfers, tours and activities, education and training of tour guides and meeting financial targets and operational standards.

The role requires a high level of communication with all resort departments and external group tour managers, whilst maintaining a high standard of guest services and customer relations in line with Discovery Parks standards.

You will work closely with Reservations and Front Office teams to plan and organise tour departures including scheduling, booking, and coordinating groups.

Based at the Wilpena Pound Visitor Centre, the Activities Manager will interact regularly with guests whilst leading the activities team to exceed guest expectations, providing memorable and meaningful experiences for all visitors to Wilpena Pound.

About you

  • Previous Experience as an Activities Manager
  • Commitment to providing a high level of guest experience
  • Passion for outdoors, nature & wildlife, geology, and indigenous culture and tourism
  • Highly organised in planning daily logistics of arriving guests/outgoing guests and managing the tours schedule and guide roster
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Experience leading a team including rostering and department financials
  • Ability to effectively delegate work and manage quality outcomes
  • Experience with Rezdy and RMS
  • Resort and hospitality industry knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication and effective decision making
  • Ensure safety and compliance with all travel regulations and company policies
  • Oversee the cleanliness, compliance and maintenance of tour vehicles
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence mandatory for this role, MR licence preferred
  • South Australian Drivers Accreditation (large vehicle) required
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is essential
