About the roles

We are seeking experienced Leading Hands to join our teams at various projects in the Toowoomba, Goondiwindi, and Gympie regions

These projects involve upgrading carriageways, bridges, patching, realignments, and drainage infrastructure including culverts, table drains and drainage channels.

This is a great opportunity if you are local to the areas, looking for longer-term project, and keen to further expand upon your solid base of road construction experience and knowledge.

Reporting to the relevant Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the onsite construction process and providing support in the field to assist with the coordination of all trades.

The rosters are generally 5/2 with weekends as required. 


About you

To join our team, you will need the following:

 

  • A min of 2 years’ experience on a similar civil infrastructure road/bridge/pavement/drainage project – preferably TMR;
  • Reside in Toowoomba, Goondiwindi or Gympie Regions, or a neighbouring area to the projects;
  • Have proven ability in leading the construction process by leading a team of multi-skilled plant operators and labourers;
  • Possess a strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to the environment and safety;
  • Capable of accurately following instructions and directions from supervisors and engineers;
  • Have experience assisting with the surveillance of subcontractors' and suppliers' work and materials delivered;
  • Be confident in hands-on day-to-day site supervision and coordination;
  • Able to operate machinery as required and lead by example;
  • Be an Australian citizen/permanent resident or have a current visa allowing you the right to work in Australia.
