About the role
We are seeking a self-driven Undergraduate Civil Engineer in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of university to join the team at our Eagle Farm head office.
You will be trained in our Pre-contracts team, gaining valuable exposure and experience in the following:
- Overall Bid development;
- Subcontract and supplier analysis;
- Contract Management;
- Programming;
- Cost Planning;
- Construction Estimating using Expert Estimation Software;
- General Construction methodologies.
This is a casual position working 2 or 3 days per week based around university commitments.
However, there is also the opportunity to work additional hours over the university holidays.
This can either be in the Pre-contracts department or, if you are keen, to travel to one of our project locations in Queensland or northern New South Wales to gain valuable onsite experience .
We also offer an excellent graduate program upon completion of your university degree to kick-start your career as a civil engineer.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer with the following background.
- Currently studying towards a Civil Engineering Degree;
- Possessing a general understanding of fundamental civil design processes and work structures;
- Ideally with some civil infrastructure experience in cost engineering/productivity;
- Be able to work as part of a team that is driven by success;
- Excellent time management, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Sound engineering technical knowledge gained through your study;
- Be self-motivated and adaptable with a ‘can do’ attitude.
