About the role

We are seeking a self-driven Undergraduate Civil Engineer in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of university to join the team at our Eagle Farm head office.

You will be trained in our Pre-contracts team, gaining valuable exposure and experience in the following:

• Overall Bid development;
• Subcontract and supplier analysis;
• Contract Management;
• Programming;
• Cost Planning;
• Construction Estimating using Expert Estimation Software;
• General Construction methodologies.

This is a casual position working 2 or 3 days per week based around university commitments.

However, there is also the opportunity to work additional hours over the university holidays.

This can either be in the Pre-contracts department or, if you are keen, to travel to one of our project locations in Queensland or northern New South Wales to gain valuable onsite experience .

We also offer an excellent graduate program upon completion of your university degree to kick-start your career as a civil engineer.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer with the following background.

• Currently studying towards a Civil Engineering Degree;
• Possessing a general understanding of fundamental civil design processes and work structures;
• Ideally with some civil infrastructure experience in cost engineering/productivity;
• Be able to work as part of a team that is driven by success;
• Excellent time management, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;
• Sound engineering technical knowledge gained through your study;
• Be self-motivated and adaptable with a ‘can do’ attitude.
