About the role:

We are offering two six-month fixed-term contracts, each 38 hours per week, with no prior experience required.

Join our team at Summerland Farm as a General Hand in Horticulture, where you will play a vital role in supporting our diverse operations across site services, dehusking, fruit packing, and farm services.

As part of our dynamic and inclusive business, which provides meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities, you will work closely with Team Leaders and Supervisors to assist supported employees in daily operations. Your contributions will help maintain high-quality standards and excellent customer service, essential for our success and repeat business.

Located in Alstonville, Northern NSW, Summerland Farm is not only a macadamia and avocado farm but also a major tourism destination featuring a restaurant, functions centre, and retail hub. In this role, you’ll engage in teamwork, model safe work practices, and actively participate in training, all while fostering positive relationships with colleagues and customers.

About You:

• Effectively fulfil the day to day operations of Fruit Packing or Macadamia Dehusking and Farm.
• Establish positive team relationships that facilitate cooperation and collaboration, reflecting our values and producing effective team results.
• Customer focused with commitment to delivering high quality products and services for Aruma’s commercial customers
• Sufficient physical fitness to meet the manual handling and environmental requirements of the position.
• Demonstrated commitment to working in alignment with Aruma’s core values and Code of Conduct.
• Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State).
• Hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence (unrestricted) and willingness to use personal vehicle, in accordance with Aruma policy for work purposes if required.
