Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people living in the community. Under direction of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide support to customers in our Residential Care and Community Care teams. The programs provide rehabilitation and engagement to older people through a number of avenues including individual exercise sessions, group exercise programs, home visiting, service delivery support and so many more!

We would love to hear from you if you have a Cert III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, or have a background as a Personal Trainer working with vulnerable people or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Collaborate with therapists to deliver therapy programs
  • Providing support where the service is needed which could include group sessions at the clinic or home visits
  • Support and supervise customers with daily living activities
  • Work with customers towards achieving health goals and positive outcomes
  • Assist with the coordination of services, such as appointment bookings and notifications and in-clinic tasks related to clinical care. 

What do you need to bring?

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or Cert IV in Fitness (or transferable qualification/experience).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work with and learn from others.
  • A current Australian driver's license and vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel across metro Adelaide.
