Under supervision and participating in a team, you would be learning refinishing (spray painting) techniques and body repairs, working in a local business that specialises in panel repairs, mechanical & electrical work for buses and caravans.
What would this involve?
- You would be employed by Work & Training for the duration of your apprenticeship & hosted to our valued client.
- Full time hours over a 48-month time frame.
- Full entitlements including four weeks of holidays per year.
- Theory training conducted by TasTAFE.
- You would receive mentoring and support from a dedicated Work & Training Apprentice & Employment Consultant.
- You would develop the skills required to obtain a Certificate III Automotive Refinishing Technology through on-the-job and off-site training over the duration of the apprenticeship.
Gain valuable experience on the job:
- The qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to paint, refinish, repair and maintain painted surfaces to a range of automotive vehicles including recreational vehicles.
- Develop your capacity to follow procedures, instructions and safe work practices, and communicate in a professional manner within the workplace.
Essential Criteria:
- Current Tasmanian drivers licence.
- Knowledge of Work Health & Safety requirements and ability to follow procedure.
