Our Customer division is essential for engaging with our audience to deliver service line stories. This includes content creation, campaign strategy, market research and insights, digital projects and supporting sales through lead generation and customer service.

About the Opportunity 

Reporting to the Executive Manager Business Development, the Bid Writer working as a key resource in the tender and bid project teams is responsible for developing high quality, on brief and impactful bid materials. This meaningful work supports the outcome of successfully renewing or winning the majority of service agreements we make proposals for. This role encompasses writing application bids for both Grants and Tenders with responsibilities including:

Bid Writing; creates clear, succinct, easy to read documents ensuring that the content addresses the evaluation criteria

Project Management;  collection of data and insights to support the development of bids

Research and analysis;  in-depth research to get an understanding of the industries we offer services for

Best Practices; adopt evidence based’ approach to continually improve the Y’s approaches to bids and tenders.

This position is a Permanent Full Time role, working in a hybrid working model, from home and our State Office in Box Hill (1-2 days per week). The remuneration for this role is up to $94,000 plus super, dependent on experience. 

About You

To be successful in this role you will be an excellent critical thinker, supported by strong written communication skills. With a high level of commercial acumen you will be able to project management workloads and engage with a range of stakeholders within the business. Prior experience in B2B and B2G sales environments is desired.

Desired qualifications; Tertiary education in Journalism or Communications
