Site Supervisor

The role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic Site Supervisor to join the team at our Concrete & Quarry in Katherine, NT.

This is a full time permanent role, which reports to the Site Manager.

You will be responsible for ensuring that operational plans, objectives and site requirements are met to ensure that plant and equipment are operated at optimum cost, highest availability, safely and without environmental impact. Furthermore, you will support the team by accurately combining and dispensing pre-mix materials to be delivered to site by our Concrete Agitator Truck and ensuring the quarry site is also maintained as per the site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational equipment is of a safe and efficient standard through effective maintenance
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures surrounding operational standards
• Work to reduce operational costs while ensuring products are safely manufactured to the required quality standards
• Batch concrete via our Command automated batching system and ensure accuracy of orders
• Monitor and maintain HSE, quality and maintenance systems
• Ensure compliance with, and communication of all health, safety and environment requirements
• Support and develop collaborative relationships with other site’s teams

What you will need to succeed

• Experience in a manufacturing, mining or production environment, concrete industry experience beneficial
• Be able to identify opportunities for improved operational efficiencies
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Experience with computerised batching systems essential
• A HR, Forklift licence, wheel loader and excavator tickets are desirable
