Network Controller

We are currently seeking a Network Controller to join us on the SkyBus' exciting journey in the bus lane.

The Network Controller coordinates the minute-by-minute delivery and performance of our live transport network. This includes co-ordinating driver and vehicle movements on the road and providing support and direction to frontline driving staff in both regular operations, during incidents, and emergency situations.

The success of the role depends on your expertise in network KPIs, such as reliability and on-time performance, and their ability to implement proactive network management strategies effectively. As a high-performing Network Controller you will quickly identify areas of the network that need attention (e.g., passenger demand, routes, geographical locations) in real-time and apply appropriate measures to minimize the impact on customers and stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

• Monitoring and managing network performance to meet targets.
• Coordinating with Dispatch Controllers for vehicle and driver schedules.
• Providing support and guidance to drivers during emergencies.
• Handling operational adjustments for unexpected issues.
• Recording and escalating significant incidents.
• Communicating with external stakeholders to manage disruptions.
• Reporting recurring issues to management
• Working on a rotating roster, work alternate weekends, 10 hr shifts

What will you bring?

• Experience in network operations or a similar role.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage schedules and handle operational adjustments.
• Proficiency in recording and escalating incidents.
• Capability to support drivers during emergencies.
• Experience in liaising with external stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum heavy rigid driver’s licence and relevant authority plus working with children check, or willing to attain – to support with driving when required.
