Position: Dog Groomer

And, we are now on the howl for a dog mad, get-your-hands-dirty-and-your-shirt-furry Groomer to join our Kip community. This position is being offered on a permanent basis working shifts between Monday to Friday, with no weekend or public holiday work required. Days and hours can be discussed in detail with shortlisted candidates.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process
• Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles
• Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have
• General grooming responsibilities such as but not limited to dematting/detangling hair, bathing and drying, nail trims, ear cleans
• Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations
• Frequent cleaning and upkeep of work station
• Building and maintaining rapport with our dog owners through daily feedback and transparency
• Daily administration such as answering grooming enquiries through email and phone, record keeping, making bookings

Key requirements:

• Previous grooming experience
• Ability to carry out breed specific clips in a timely manner and with no supervision
• Able to handle larger breed dogs
• High level of communication and empathetic in nature
• Must be driven and have a strong work ethic as the role can be physically demanding
• Comfortable with computer systems (emails, booking platform) and phone applications
