Animal Attendant (Pet Boarding)

Kip Happy Stays is inviting expressions of interest (EOI) from enthusiastic, dedicated individuals eager to join our talent pool for Animal Attendant (Pet Boarding) roles across our Melbourne boarding sites.
At Kip Happy Stays, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of care and enrichment to our furry guests. We’re looking for people who are ready to bring energy, commitment, and a love of animals to our team.
We’ll review EOIs on an ongoing basis; shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a video interview and from there, we'll be in touch as vacancies arise at our Melbourne locations to discuss next steps.
About the role
As an Animal Attendant at our boarding facilities, you’ll be responsible for the overall care and wellbeing of pets staying with us. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing food, water, and general care for pets in our boarding facilities
- Conducting health checks and ensuring animal welfare
- Supervising and managing the behaviours of groups of dogs
- Providing enrichment through structured play and activities
- Cleaning and maintaining the facility to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety
- Building relationships with, and creating photo and video content for pet owners
- Managing administrative tasks such as answering enquiries and record keeping
About you
- Flexible availability between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Sunday
- Availability during school holiday periods (including Christmas and Easter)
- Confident handling dogs of all sizes and managing behaviours
- Able to work in a physically demanding environment with attention to detail
- Comfortable following routines and adhering to policies and procedures
- Strong communication skills and a focus on customer service
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not essential
- Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)
