The Opportunity

Hitachi has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the team based in Wacol, as a Technical Support Representative. This role will have you supporting branch staff, customers and OEM’s to ensure a high level of technical and product support is maintained.

Reporting directly to the Customer Support Manager, you will:

  • Support the full range of construction equipment including Hitachi and Bell, performing diagnostic evaluations, trouble shooting, fault finding and hydraulic testing.
  • Travel throughout the region providing expert technical and diagnostic support to our customers with technical issues, creating solutions to meet their needs.
  • Maintaining regular contact with our Service team and customers, conducting machine inspections and customer reports.
  • Submitting Field reports to the Factory on Technical issues and resolutions.
  • Co-coordinating technical document distribution and updates.
  • Assist Hitachi technicians with technical fault finding and diagnostics.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability in providing resolutions to internal and external customers in a timely manner.

You will also need:

  • A strongly developed awareness to personal and peer health and safety and displaying safety leadership.
  • Relevant trade qualifications with excellent technical knowledge of construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of Hitachi, Bell products would be an advantage.
  • A commitment to deliver Total Customer Satisfaction to internal and external customers.
  • A professional and diplomatic communication style, maintaining business critical relationships whilst delivering outcomes.
  • Computer literacy in utilising OEM diagnostic software effectively and Microsoft office package.
