The Opportunity
With strong growth in our Remanufacturing (Component rebuild) division, Hitachi is actively seeking a motivated individual to join the team in the position of Workshop Fitter. This opportunity will see you overhaul a range of mining machine major components to OEM specifications in a professional, timely manner.
Based in our Forrestdale branch, you will also be responsible for:
- You will be trained to perform major component overhauls on a wide range of components
- Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
- Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company's 5S standards
To be successful in this role:
- You will have a relevant trade qualification
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude and be willing to learn
- High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) would be highly regarded
- A safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
- Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM
