The Opportunity

Reporting to the State Manager, you will provide support to the senior management and project teams to ensure compliance with commercial management systems and processes. This will involve mentoring, training, audits, and reviews to keep everything running effectively.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of commercial systems, procedures, and standard agreements, making a real impact on the company's success.

Key activities include:

  • Undertake regular, detailed analysis of projects with regard to the commercial and administrative functions and performance.
  • Advise senior management in respect of the commercial and risk management activities on projects.
  • Participate in PCG meetings, monthly cost reports and project reviews.
  • Contribute to tendering activity by reviewing head contract and providing comments schedules to the bid management team for inclusion into tenders.
  • Review and approve the project specific subcontract and supply agreement templates including any special conditions, annexures and attachments.
  • Develop procurement strategies, drive better buying, and achieve project diversity and inclusion targets through procurement processes.

About you

You are a senior professional with 15+ years’ commercial construction experience in a variety of sectors client types and project values. Other required competences are:

  • Expert knowledge of Contract Law principals & relevant Construction legislation
  • Knowledge of formal contract dispute management and Security of Payment adjudications
  • Advanced user of CHEOPS, Aconex and similar construction software
  • Advanced user of office 365 programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams
  • Experience leading project administration teams and managing performance
