The opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing Construction team, based in our Adelaide office.

In this role, you will be responsible for the tendering & cost planning of internal & external projects across multiple states and market sectors. You ensure all cost deliverables relating to your projects are complete, accurate and submitted in accordance with the tender conditions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Construction Leadership Group to cost plan a diverse range of internal & external projects from concept to tender phase
  • Assuming a lead estimating role within bid teams to secure external tenders across multiple market sectors
  • Work closely with internal & external project stakeholders to drive budget outcomes during ECI phases
  • Engaging, and managing relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
  • Managing external quantity surveyors and & other external bid support personnel to facilitate bid deliverables
  • Providing training & support for estimating cadets & other junior estimating team members
  • Contributing to business development efforts and securing new work opportunities
  • Supporting live projects with cost planning services as required
  • Driving value management outcomes across all projects
  • Supporting innovation initiatives within the business

Requirements

  • Experience and success in both cost planning & tendering construction projects across multiple market sectors
  • Experience and a sound understanding of typical Australian construction delivery & construction models & contracts
  • Diploma / Degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Excellent communication skills
