About the Role
Are you a natural leader with a green thumb and an eye for detail? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Garden Maintenance Team Leader. Embark on a journey where your love for gardening meets your knack for organisation and leadership.
This role is for the position of Garden Maintenance Team Leader for our Orana Estate contract located in Clyde North, South East of Melbourne.
The role will require ongoing garden & establishment maintenance of open space garden areas throughout the estate. A tool of trade vehicle will be provided as part of the role & will be required to travel across the site.
Responsibilities
- Daily duties will include weed identification, manual weeding, herbicide application, pruning, pest identification & treatment.
- Soft landscaping duties to include mulch top up, plant ID & replacement planting as required.
- Activities, including planting, hedging, weeding, pruning and fertilising.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
- Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.
- Interact with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.

About You
- Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens or relevant experience
- Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
- White Card
- Valid Drivers' license
- Team player with excellent communication skills
