About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior PR Account Manager to join our growing team in Auckland. You will be a key member of the agency, leading and managing a portfolio of client accounts, developing and implementing integrated PR campaigns, and building strong relationships with key media contacts.


Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Lead client relationships, building strong partnerships and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Proactively identify client needs and anticipate potential challenges.
  • Present campaign progress and results to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Contribute to new business development activities, including proposals and presentations.


Strategic PR Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and execute strategic PR campaigns that align with client objectives and deliver measurable results.
  • Conduct thorough research and competitive analysis to inform campaign strategies.
  • Set clear campaign objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and budgets.
  • Monitor media coverage and analyze campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to clients.


Media Relations:

  • Proactively identify and secure media opportunities across traditional and digital channels (print, broadcast, online, social media).
  • Draft high-quality press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials (e.g., media advisories, briefing documents, Q&A).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, including journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
  • Attend media events and industry functions to network and build relationships.


Social Media & Digital PR:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies that support overall PR campaigns.
  • Manage and monitor social media channels, engaging with followers and responding to inquiries.
  • Identify and leverage emerging social media trends and platforms.
  • Explore opportunities for influencer marketing and social media collaborations.


Team Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on PR best practices and professional development.
  • Oversee the work of junior team members, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of proven success in a fast-paced PR agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of the New Zealand media landscape and key media contacts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful PR campaigns across various channels.
  • Experience in managing social media channels and developing effective social media strategies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
  • Experience in a variety of industries (e.g., technology, consumer, lifestyle) is a plus.
