Berry Street's Take Two program provides training, consultation and reflective practice to the wider Children and Family Services sector and conducts and disseminates evaluation research on Take Two’s therapeutic services. Take Two is a flagship site of the Child Trauma Academy implementing the Model of Neurosequential Therapeutics to guide intervention planning.

The Opportunity

The Restoring Childhood Model (RCM) is a specific approach used by the Take Two to provide therapeutic support to children aged 0-18, and their caregivers who are experiencing or recovering from family violence.  

In addition to holding a caseload, the Clinician will support the intake team by conducting intake assessments and providing brief interventions to families referred to the service. 

  • Providing therapeutic interventions ranging from short to long-term, typically involving individual, dyadic, and family-based sessions with children and young people and their families.
  • Providing high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children / young people and their families who have been referred to NHARP.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Clinician and other team members to ensure that services are tailored to the individual needs of families referred to NHARP and are consistent with Take Two's policies and procedures.

About You

We are seeking a qualified Clinician who has relevant Bachelor level or higher qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline. You will have a sound understanding of the complexities of the service system, a demonstrated ability to provide direct service in the clinical assessment and treatment of young people and families, and a sound understanding and demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and community.
