About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions for a variety of projects, with a focus on building services. You will collaborate with a team of experts to tackle complex challenges and deliver sustainable, resilient, and liveable communities.

You be joining our Property and Buildings team, a world-leading management and technical consultancy operating across all sectors. We are passionate about tackling complex challenges in the built environment and delivering innovative, sustainable solutions to create accessible, resilient, and liveable communities.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior / Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a network of professional engineers working on both local and national projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing mechanical design expertise on mid to top-tier multi-disciplinary projects, with a focus on healthcare.
  • Delivering best practices and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time.
  • Leading engineering design, project coordination, and management.
  • Communicating effectively with all stakeholders and project teams.
  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers.
  • Building solid client relationships and representing the business in local and regional markets.

About You

  • Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Expertise in mechanical services systems (air conditioning, heating, ventilation).
  • Knowledge of building services disciplines (Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, Environmentally Sustainable Design).
  • Proven project experience in building services across various sectors.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Familiarity with Australian building codes and standards, with registration (or eligibility) in the professional engineer register.
