WSP Australia’s Learning and Development team facilitates L&D programs which enable our leadership groups to build diverse and engaged teams. 

The Senior Learning and Development Consultant role will see you contribute to the design, development, and facilitation of learning programs. There is a strong collaborative focus with Line Managers and leadership teams where you will use your L&D experience on a range of development, engagement, team building, diversity and inclusion initiatives.

This role can be located in Sydney or Melbourne.

What you’ll do:

This role actively facilitates learning and development programs, providing innovative, strategic L&D solutions which support requests from WSP’s leadership and management teams.

This is not a pure training role, nor is it a role where you will build an L&D initiative and hope to get it accepted by the business. If you are looking for that kind of work this is NOT the role for you. 

In this role you will:

  • Facilitate quality face to face and virtual events including learning (Management, Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion; and Professional courses and team building (team alignment, team planning and actioning strategy) workshops.
  • Contribute to the refinement and design of quality blended programs, short courses and sprints including all toolbox resources to reflect leading edge research.
  • Contribute to the provision, identification and development of Learning and Development activities across the organisation that enhance leadership, management, well-being, technical, personal, and professional growth.
  • Generate proof of concept from requests and design learning based on strong learning methodology that embeds neurodiversity, experiential learning and recent advances in learning and generational differences.


About you:

You will absolutely love this role if you enjoy working collaboratively within a high-performing team on a diverse range of L&D initiatives and programs. You don’t just say you’re a team player – you actually demonstrate this by working closely with the team and supporting a range of L&D initiatives. 

You enjoy engaging with leadership teams to design and facilitate learning and development initiatives which help build diverse, inclusive teams. You will be confident, articulate, and able to drive strategic L&D solutions across the business, developing strong relationships with key business stakeholders.

Your background will include:

  • Relevant Degree or Graduate Diploma with Learning & Development options
  • Coaching and or Change Management Professional Qualification (desirable).
  • At least 7 years’ experience in OD/L&D in a corporate environment, time spent in a leadership or organisational development focused role successfully balancing priorities.
  • Experience in debriefing 360 Leadership Assessment and/or other recognised assessments.
  • Strong experience in learning analysis (TNA) and if possible, skills and task analysis as part of workforce planning.
