Data Insights Lead

New Plymouth, Tauranga, Wellington or Palmerston North

For the absolute right candidate we would consider remote working.

In this role we are looking for a standout candidate who can provide technical leadership for our Data Insights team, who spend their time ingesting and analysing large datasets; building analytics engines; working with machine learning / AI to help provide automation and outputs that help connect our technical teams and through development of repeatable & sound models, support our organisation moving to a data driven approach.  It is through these approaches this role you (and the team) will help drive innovation through collaboration.

You are likely to have expertise in utilising data analytics, statistical analysis in understanding technical network or customer behavioural analysis, and can help drive development of transformative solutions together with a collaborative mindset to work with stakeholders to design and develop robust, user-centric solutions. Areas of work could include interrogation of smart meter data, census data and technology adoption curves to help build customer segmentation models for the purposes of demand forecasting, analysis of weather-related impacts to network, or designing pattern recognition models for fault detection.

This is an unparalleled opportunity to pair technical leadership with a hands-on role at the cutting edge of Aotearoa’s energy transformation.
