About the Health Service

Mansfield District Hospital (MDH) is located in Victoria’s scenic high country, at the foot of Mount Buller and on the shores of Lake Eildon, only two hours from Melbourne.

We have created an exceptional health service for the Mansfield and the surrounding community. Providing care for all life stages and critical health needs, including acute hospital care, urgent care, operating theatre, obstetrics with a midwifery group practice model, aged care, regional district nursing service for in-home care and our allied health services.

Mansfield District Hospital has an opportunity for 2 Qualified Nurses or Allied Health professionals to work as alcohol and other drugs clinicians.

Working as part of the Primary care centre team this position is responsible for working collaboratively and autonomously within the Mansfield Restart team. The Mansfield Restart program is an innovative rehabilitation and support program to help individuals and their family and supports, deal with addiction and substance use in the community. Restart services the local Mansfield community as well as the Murrindindi Shire. Some travel is expected as part of the role to deliver service to the Alexandra and Yea shires. Our highly motivated and skilled mental health, alcohol and other drug team, work with a passionate and engaged network of health services to provide a truly supportive value-based culture and service. 

You will have current AHPRA registration or relevant Allied Health Qualifications and demonstrated relevant experience. More importantly you will be passionate about working in a regional community to address drug use.

There are 2 positions available, 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week) and 0.6FTE (24 hours per week).
