The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our dynamic Data Science team within the Data & Analytical Services department. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical skills to improve patient care and enable data driven decision making in healthcare.

About the role

As a Software Developer at Alfred Health, you will play a crucial role in transforming healthcare through technology. You will contribute to the development of data-driven solutions that enhance patient care, improve operational efficiency, and support cutting-edge research. In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain software applications supporting data science initiatives and healthcare operations
  • Collaborate with senior developers and data scientists on innovative projects
  • Implement data pipelines for collecting and processing healthcare datasets
  • Create APIs for integrating various healthcare systems and data sources
  • Contribute to the development of data visualization tools and dashboards
  • Participate in code reviews and continuous learning opportunities

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)
  • Understanding of web development concepts and frameworks
  • Familiarity with database systems and SQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Interest in healthcare technology and improving patient outcomes
