Title: Engineer, Quality

Location: Westford, MA

Duration: 6 Months

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in any engineering discipline.
  • Looking for 1 to 2 years of experience
  • Must have Ability to navigate through fast paced work environment, data reporting and analysis.
  • Strong communication (written, verbal and being outspoken) and interpersonal skills. Able to give presentations to Senior leadership and attend business review meetings.
  • Six sigma skills and technical writing expertise strongly desired
  • Hands on experience using MS Office (Excel) for data analysis and reporting is strongly preferred. Excellent attention to detail and typing skills to capture the action items during business reviews.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Drive to motivate others in a team setting by standing as an example for role model of excellence.
  • Good cognitive skills and a quick learner
  • Strongly prefer a medical device background

  • Data Analytics experience so Excel, Power Point and reports are important.
  • Daily tasks/duties and department interactions: Will work closely with regulatory, sustaining engineering and operations teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop incoming inspection processes and document incoming inspection activities.
  • Provide in-process QA support to include inspection and document review.
  • Complete final acceptance activities. Manage the sterilization process, including validations and product sterile loads.
  • Track nonconforming material and lead Material Review Board (MRB) efforts. Interface and take lead QA role in interactions with suppliers, contractors and consultants that supply components, subassemblies and contract processing.
  • Lead complaint investigations on returned product.
  • Manage corrective action and quality improvement activities. Manage aspects of internal quality system relating to receiving inspection, calibration, MRB, etc. Assist in the performance of quality system internal auditing.
  • Support quarterly management review meetings. Establish, monitor and evaluate quality system metrics.
