About the role

As a Project Manager within the CIC team, you will oversee end-to-end management of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. You will work closely with our internal stakeholders, contractors, and clients, contributing to the planning, execution, and successful completion of critical construction and infrastructure projects valued up to $10m. 

Key Responsibilities include

  • Manage and deliver customer-initiated projects, including new connections, supply increases, and asset relocations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders such as internal crews, contractors, engineers, and local councils.
  • Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and manage any project changes.
  • Provide regular updates to the CIC management team and ensure projects align with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, estimating, material allocation, and procurement processes to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Mentor, and support junior team members, including trainees and coordinators.

 

About You

  • Proven experience in project management within the utilities, energy, or construction sectors.
  • Strong mentoring skills and ability to manage teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound understanding of civil and electrical construction, preferably in overhead, underground, and public lighting works.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., SAP, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Ability to identify and resolve project challenges with a strategic and solution mindset.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
