About the role

As a Senior Business & Contract Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting informed decision-making, enhancing efficiency, and driving positive outcomes across our client work programs. Your insights and analysis will help shape commercial, contractual, and operational activities to ensure sustainable growth and success.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a range of stakeholders, including the General Manager, Zinfra Power Services South (ZPSS), the Operational Performance Manager, the Senior Commercial Manager, and other key teams across finance, operations, and corporate support. By fostering strong relationships and working together, you will help streamline business processes and optimise the delivery of client work programs.

Your expertise in data analysis, performance monitoring, and progress reporting will contribute to long-term improvements and new opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, strategic thinking, and making a meaningful impact in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Collaborate & Provide Insights – Work closely with various teams to gather and analyze data, offering insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Optimize Contracts & Processes – Review business contracts, commercial data, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support Contract Management – Assist in managing contract lifecycles, ensuring compliance and recognizing opportunities for enhancement.
  • Risk & Issue Analysis – Partner with internal teams and clients to assess contract variations, risks, and issues.
  • Governance & Performance Tracking – Support governance processes, maintain reporting systems, and ensure accurate performance monitoring.

About You

  • Analytical & Solution-Focused – Ability to assess information, identify trends, and support effective decision-making.
  • Collaborative Communicator – Strong verbal, interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiation skills to engage with diverse teams.
  • Tech-Savvy – Experience using business analysis tools, computerized management systems (e.g., SAP), and MS Office (Excel).
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized – Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Customer & Project Focused – Understanding of customer service principles and project management processes.
  • Adaptable & Resourceful – Ability to balance priorities, manage workloads, and support forecasting activities.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Commercial or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis and contract management.
  • Experience in the energy or utilities sector.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Certification in business analysis or contract management.
