About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to support our dynamic team working on the electrical distribution network in a construction, operations, and maintenance environment.

This position would suit someone that is based in Townsville and willing to travel throughout the state on a 10/4 roster.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Digging pole holes, earth trenches and general yard/depot duties
  • Assisting electrical trades
  • Undertake Maintenance and Asset inspections in accordance with Client/Company Policies, Quality Systems and HSE procedures as well as statutory requirements.

About You

To excel in this role, you will have experience as a multi-skilled Trades Assistant in a non-trade support capacity.

  • Hands-on experience with hand tools and equipment
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Current Australian driver’s license (HR Class preferred)
  • High-Risk Work License – Forklift, CN (highly desirable)
  • Blue/White Card (OHS Construction Induction Card)
