Your Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the launch of the first Enrolled Nursing (EN) programme in a brand-new academy focused entirely on nursing and health. As part of the Yoobee Colleges group, the Healthcare Academy is poised for growth, with the potential to expand into new regions and shape the future of healthcare education in New Zealand

 

Your Mission

Step into a leadership role where you will guide our newly developed Enrolled Nurse Programme. This is more than a job; it's a chance to build on strong foundations and drive the success of health and wellbeing programmes in the private tertiary education sector.

As the Faculty Lead, you will provide strategic and academic leadership, ensuring compliance with Nursing Council standards. You'll foster a culture of excellence in nursing education, inspiring both staff and students. Your extraordinary people skills will create a supportive and collaborative environment, while your strong experience in tertiary education management will guide the programme from concept to delivery.

Engage with industry, government, and community stakeholders to elevate the programme’s profile. Uphold cultural competence and foster meaningful relationships with Māori and Pasifika communities, embracing Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in every aspect of the programme.

 

What You’ll Do

Leveraging your background in education management in a tertiary environment, you will lead the development and delivery of curricula, ensuring relevance and alignment with current professional practices. Inspire a team of academic professionals to achieve teaching and research excellence. Oversee the operational and academic success of the programme, ensuring it meets the needs of students, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. You'll be someone who can handle both Nursing Council compliance and educational compliance and management. 

Recruit, mentor, and support a team of exceptional educators. Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation. Develop strong relationships with nursing colleagues, professional bodies, and stakeholders. Actively engage with Māori and Pasifika representatives to ensure cultural integrity and responsiveness.

 

What You’ll Bring

·      Master’s degree in Nursing or a related discipline

·      Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate in New Zealand

·      Proven success and extensive experience in educational management in a tertiary environment

·      Significant experience in nursing and health education and leadership

·      Exceptional communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities,

·      Strong understanding of tikanga and contemporary nursing practices
