About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Online Tutor to deliver our Diploma in Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity (Level 6) programme. The Tutor will be responsible for facilitating engaging learning experiences, providing support and guidance to online students, and ensuring the effective delivery of course content online.
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to teach from anywhere in New Zealand while helping students build their technical knowledge and practical skills.
Programme Overview:
The Diploma in Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity (Level 6) programme designed to equip graduates with the IT knowledge and specialist professional and technical skills in systems administration, cloud computing and cybersecurity. The programme is delivered online, providing asynchronous learning opportunities for students across New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate online learning activities, including discussions, tutorials, and virtual labs.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assessments.
- Support student progress and engagement through online communication and support sessions.
- Utilize the Yoobee Online Learning Management System to deliver course content and track student progress.
- Ensure the authenticity of student learning through practical and real-life learning activities and contexts.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the online programme.
- Uphold academic integrity and adhere to Yoobee Colleges' policies and procedures.
Required Skills/Experience:
- A relevant degree-level qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in cloud computing and cybersecurity, including Public Cloud Administration (AWS, Azure), Data Engineering in the Public Cloud, Cyber Security in the Cloud, Multi-Cloud Security.
- Experience in online teaching and learning methodologies highly preferred.
- Familiarity with sandbox environments for conducting practical labs and supporting students with hands-on learning.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and Fortinet is highly recommended.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Commitment to student success and creating a positive learning environment.
Desirable:
- Industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Administrator).
- Knowledge of Te Ao Māori and a commitment to incorporating biculturalism in the learning environment.
