We are on the look-out for our next Cook! As a Hospital Cook at Yarrawonga Health, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the provision of well-balanced, healthy, and appetising meals for patients and staff. The successful candidate will collaborate with our dietary and nutrition team to create menus that align with the dietary needs and restrictions of patients while adhering to high-quality culinary standards.

 You will

  • Ensure all food preparation, cooking production and presentation methods are in accordance with set standards
  • Manage the plating of main meals and coordinate the production and distribution services
  • Ensure portion control, food allergy governance and therapeutic diet management is correct and in accordance with clinical requirement

Essential:

  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekly, afternoon and weekends including public holidays
  • Relevant experience in similar role in health care setting
  • Computer skills at a basic level
  • Understanding of confidentiality
  • Satisfactory National History Criminal Check prior to commencement of employment
  • Food handler’s certificate (can be obtained after commencement)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people
  • Self-motivated with a high level of communication and organisational skills demonstrated ability to work alone
